Brighton, MA - The Malden Bulldogs' red hot offense continues to stay red hot as they beat the Brighton Braves tonight, 23-0.

Malden (3-1) collected 25 hits on the night which is a new team offense record.

The Bulldogs scored early and often as 10 hitters combined to score five runs in the first inning. Malden would also score four in the third, two in the fourth, eight in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Leadoff hitter Mike Terrio knocked in five RBIs on his 2-for-3 night at the plate. Tom Englehardt, making his first start of 2010, went 4-for-4 with a RBI and Christopher Deane was 2-for-2 at the dish. Kenny Luongo came off the bench and hit a three-run home run to right. Luongo finished the game going 3-for-3 with five RBIs. 

Starter Evan Tardugno went the distance to earn his first win of 2010. He only allowed the Braves to scatter three hits over seven innings while striking out eight. 

Malden will return to action on Wednesday night (May 19th) when they take on the Brighton Minuteman. Game time is set for 7:30pm at Rogers Park in Brighton, MA.
