The Lawrence Yankees are in their inaugural season. Managed by William Medina Sr, the Yankees are looking to make a splash in the CABL's inaugural season led by returning league player and shortstop/pitcher, William Medina Jr. Will Jr comes over from the Cambridge Thunder team along with third baseman Chris Huss. Juan Maldonado has also joined the team as a great first baseman and a very exciting bat in the lineup. The Yankees are also very excited about the addition of crafty lefty pitcher John Cleary and knuckle baller Gabe Hernandez. Pitchers will have the luxury of throwing to the all around catchers, Fabio Cabral and Jonathan Vasquez. Franklin Santos will be a big utility player coming off the bench this season with his mixture of speed and defense. They are also bringing in the power bats of Carlos Medina and Angel Abreu to go along with the speed of Anthony Vasquez, Luis Medina, and Mark Ayala. To round it all off, they are very excited about adding Jamil Gonzalez, Antonio Rodriguez, and Amijadel (Chan) Fargas in the outfield. The Yankees feel like they have all the tools to make a great run in this inaugural season and look forward to April to begin the journey.
